Phoenix Logistics Acquires Silverado Cable Company
PHOENIX LOGISTICS EXPANDS ITS COMMERCIAL AEROSPACE PORTFOLIO AND INTERCONNECT HARNESSING CAPABILITY WITH ACQUISITION OF SILVERADO CABLE COMPANY.
Phoenix Logistics, Inc. (PLI) announced today that it has acquired Silverado Cable Company (SCC) in a stock transaction. SCC will operate as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Phoenix Logistics, Inc. with continued allegiance to quality, customer deliveries.
Silverado Cable Company is an ISO9001/AS9100 certified aerospace manufacturing company with 20 years of defense and aerospace experience with specialization in ruggedized, point-to-point electrical harnessing design and manufacturing.
PLI’s acquisition of SCC advances its mission to serve the defense and aerospace sector with US based engineering and manufacturing expertise that solves technical and programmatic problems for government, prime manufacturers, and operators of aerospace and defense systems.
The acquisition adds complex point-to-point harnessing, over-braiding, and injection over-molding capabilities to PLI’s already robust Mil-Std-1553 Data Bus, RF/Microwave, and High Speed Data interconnect capabilities. The acquisition will yield substantial synergies given SCC’s ruggedized cable harnessing capabilities, and PLI’s engineering and signal processing capabilities and product lines; all within a small business with efficient cost structure.
Al Funderburk, CEO and President of PLI and SCC stated “The two companies will be able to bring operational and cost synergies to bear across a broad manufacturing base ranging from ground tactical vehicles to 5th generation fighter aircraft and commercial airliners.” “The companies have a similar history of commitment to the highest quality standards and to serving the unique needs of the aerospace and defense sector, and are a perfect fit.”
Mr. Funderburk continued “The addition of a commercial aerospace portfolio to PLI’s extensive defense aerospace portfolio is an important step in PLI’s growth strategy and perfectly complements developments in PLI’s Critical Infrastructure and Simulation & Training business areas.”
