Phoenix Logistics Awarded VHA National Simulation Center (NSC) SimLEARN Contract
Phoenix Logistics, Inc. has been awarded a multi-million dollar prime contract by the Army Contracting Command (ACC) Orlando to conduct Initial Outfitting and Transition (IO&T) of a 52,000 square feet medical simulation facility at Lake Nona, Florida. The National Simulation Center (NSC) Simulation Learning and Research Network (SimLEARN) is part of the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) ever-growing body of facilities, curricula and best practices designed to improve the health care for the nation’s Veterans.
“This award is important to us in that we will be able to perform work that contributes directly to the improved well-being of our Veterans”, stated Phoenix Logistics’ President and CEO, Al Funderburk. He went on to state, “This is also a great win for our Critical Infrastructure business that has had recent successes supporting major Heath, Energy and Transportation requirements”.
Phoenix Logistics will perform the IO&T activity from their Orlando, FL offices, providing overall Program Management, major medical system procurement and physical IO&T of the medical simulation facility. Significant teammates in the effort include Eagle Systems, Inc. (a Columbia Group Company) and CAE Healthcare.
