Chris Collins Joins PLI as VP Programs & Product Development
Phoenix Logistics, Inc., a leading provider of engineering and manufacturing solutions for the defense and aerospace market, today announced that Chris Collins has joined the company in a newly created role to lead programs and product development.
Before joining Phoenix Logistics, Collins was most recently the senior procurement manager on the Apache AH-64D program at the Boeing Company in Mesa, Ariz. Prior to that, he held positions as senior contracts administrator and finance team lead on the Corpus Christi Army Depot (CCAD) program, also with Boeing. Collins has over 30 years of aerospace experience, including a background as an aircraft maintenance technician and officer working various programs in the U.S. Air Force.
“We are thrilled to have Chris aboard to manage Programs and Product Development”, said Al Funderburk, Phoenix Logistics CEO. “Chris has proven himself over the years as a DOD contracting and program expert in both large and small companies. His background as an Air Force maintenance officer is ideal for product and customer awareness,” added Funderburk.
Collins holds undergraduate degrees in Avionics Technology (from the Community College of the Air Force) and Education (Southern Illinois University at Carbondale) as well as a master’s degree in Logistics and Management from the Air Force Institute of Technology.
