PLI Presents at 2011 AeroDef Manufacturing Conference

Ben Sommerville, the COO of Phoenix Logistics will be presenting at the 2011 AeroDef Manufacturing Exhibition and Conference in Anaheim, California at 1:00 pm on April 7th. The AeroDef Conference brings together executives from Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, Raytheon, General Dynamics, Bell Helicopter, and the National Center for Defense Manufacturing and Machining, and the aerospace supply chain to explore ways to meet the modern day manufacturing challenges in aerospace and defense and how drive innovation and efficiencies at each tier of the supply chain.

Mr. Sommerville’s presentation on “Automating Processes to Enable and Manage Growth” will highlight how electronic work flows can positively impact aerospace manufacturing processes by providing seamless communication and accountability of actions, especially those related to customer contract review, Material Review Board and Root Cause Corrective Action. The presentation will high-light real-life results experienced by Phoenix Logistics including reduced costs, reduced cycle times and most importantly increased value to customers through full process integration.

Mr. Sommerville stated “across the Aerospace industry there have been and will continue to be downward pressure on costs, while meeting ever-increasing performance requirements. Educating industry leaders about the benefits of automation, how to get started, and how to transition into a completely digital environment will benefit individual companies and the industry at large.”
